The
State of Ohio Capital Budget has been passed by the Ohio Senate.
In this budget, $400,000 has been allocated to Madison County
for
completion of the Prairie Grass Trail from Maple Street to Wilson Road.
In
addition, in October of 2006 the Ohio
Department of Natural Resources
awarded $210,000 to Madison
County from the Clean Ohio Trails Fund Grant,
also to be used for completion of the Prairie Grass Trail.
The
combination of these funds allows the County Park District and the
City of London to select a project manager to prepare the project for
bid.
It is expected that paving of the
trail will be completed in 2007.
