On April 4, 2003, FMCPT President Wayne Roberts  was one of 36 finalists chosen from over 300 nominations in central Ohio for the 2003 Jefferson Awards.  The Jefferson Awards is a national program administered by the American Institute for Public Service to acknowledge "ordinary people who do extraordinary things - those unsung heroes whose community service efforts display a special sense of caring - for people who perform outstanding deeds that improve the quality of life in their community."

Wayne and his wife Karen attended the awards ceremony and luncheon at the Wigwam entertainment facility in Pickerington.

Also in attendance at the awards ceremony were Julia Cumming from the Madison Soil and Water Conservation District (left), and FMCPT member Dan O'Kelly (right).
